@TITLE = COREL VENTURA PRINTER TEST
@SUBTITLE = (PRINT THIS PAGE ON YOUR PRINTER TO SEE WHAT
YOU GET) <R>
This page will help you understand the capabilities of your particular
printer.<R>
It illustrates features which some, but not all, printers have.
@Z_BOXTEXT = Text Under Graphics
<B>Transparent graphics.<D> The word <@147>Under<@148> from the phrase
<@147>Text Under Graphics<@148> should be partially obscured by the
transparent oval. If your printer can<@146>t print transparent graphics
(e.g., PostScript), the text will be totally obscured.
<B><@147>Dead zone.<@148><D> This ruling line around the page goes
to the edge of the physical page. When printed, the white space outside
the ruling line represents the <@147>dead<@148> space to which your
printer can<@146>t print.
@REVERSE = Reverse Text
<B>White text.<D> The box to the left should be black with the words
<@147>Reverse Text<@148> printed in white on top of it. If your printer
cannot print white text on a black background (e.g., LaserJet), you
will see only a black box.
@Z_BOXTEXT = Text Under Graphics
<B>Opaque graphics<D>. The word <@147>Under<@148> from the phrase
<@147>Text Under Graphics<@148> should be completely obscured by the
opaque oval. If your printer can<@146>t print opaque graphics, the
text partially shows through the oval.
<B>Ruling lines.<D> The 3 ruling lines around this box should be obscured
by an opaque circle. On some printers, the rules show through.
<B>Automatic kerning.<D> Some printer width tables contain kerning
information. If your printer width table contains kerning information,
the letters <B>VA<D> will be closer together in the first line than
in the second line above. Otherwise, the <B>VA<D> in both lines will
be identical.
@KERN = Kern: VA
@KERN NO = No Kern: VA
<B>Rotated text<D>. The words <@147>Rotated Text<@148> below should
appear at right angles to the words <@147>Normal Text<@148> if your
printer can print rotated text. Otherwise, the words <@147>Rotated
Text<@148> will not appear at all.
@ROTATED = Rotated text
@NO ROTATED = Normal Text
<B>Colored text.<D> If your printer maps colors to shades of gray,
you should see different shades for the following words: <MC1,5,0,131,100>red<DC255>,<MC1,5,0,439,100>
green<DC255>, <MC1,5,0,277,100>blue<DC255>, <MC1,5,0,3,100>cyan,<DC255>
<MC1,5,0,1,100>yellow,<DC255> <-><MC1,5,0,200,100>magenta.
<B>Font sizes.<D> The numbers below represent a range of point sizes
between 6 and 72 point Times (or Dutch). If the size is not currently
available for your printer, the number will print in the nearest available
size.
@SIZES = <P6M>6<P255D>,<P8M>8<P255D>,<M>10<D>,<P12M>12<P255D>,<P14M>14<P255D>,<P24>24<P255>,<P36M>36<P255D>,<P48M>48<P255D>,<P72B>72<P255D>
